She incorporates perfume stories, inspiring, funny, and sometimes downright sexy, with opportunities to explore scents from all over the world.

I am the taste in the water, the light of the sun and. the moon.... the fragrance of the earth, the god Krishna describes himself in the Bhagavad Gita. What is tile fragrance of the earth? For the people of India who depend totally all the monsoon rains to revitalize tile land and nourish their crops, the fragrance of the earth is the rich, invigorating scent of soil that has just been touched by the first drops of life-bringing moisture. This scent, this harbinger of life to come, is so celebrated, so beloved to the hearts 'of the Indian people, that ancient perfumers in the famous Indian fragrance district of Kannauj created a way to distill the essence of the earth itself. Mitti, or dirt, attar is a distillation of actual earth in a base of sandalwood. In a single teaspoon of dirt dwell 10 million soil organisms, lying dormant in the parched earth until that first taste of water brings them back to fragrant life. These ancient perfumers of Kannauj created a way, used to this day, to capture this first moment of scent and preserve it, so that this subtle fragrance, filled with the promise of new life, can be enjoyed always.
